Sports Medicine
The sports medicine specialist is concerned with all problems, injury and illness alike - related to athletics and physical fitness. Together with Orthopaedic Surgeons, we care for the complete continuum of musculo-skeletal injuries (many of which are non-surgical) for not only athletes, but also "weekend warriors" or "industrial athletes." We are also ideal physicians for the non-athlete with musculo-skeletal problems (such as arthritis or back pain) or for those who wish to start an execrise program.

We are keenly aware of when to refer to a surgical specialist and can expedite referrals to an Orthopaedic/Sports surgeon or a physical therapist. As Sports Medicine physicians, we work closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Athletic Trainers, and coaches in the care of high school, collegiate, professional, and olympic athletes and teams.

In conjuction with a patient's primary physician,we also provide pre/peri-operative medical care and management of medical issues in exercise such as asthma, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, and obesity.
